Say What? How to Clean Your Dog’s Ears
Say What? How to Clean Your Dog’s Ears- Your dog’s ears are delicate, complicated instruments. Thankfully, cleaning their ears is far less complicated. Remember – a clean pet is a happy pet!
Here’s how to Say What? How to Clean Your Dog’s Ears as a (dog) whistle!
- Using a 50/50 vinegar/lukewarm water mixture or your favorite ear-cleaning product from your local pet store, make sure the mixture is room temperature so as not to give your dog an unpleasant shock.
- Dip a clean cotton ball into the mixture and squeeze out the excess liquid. Make sure it isn’t dripping.
- Be gentle when swabbing the outer ear to get rid of all the dirt and debris. Don’t go too far down into the dog’s ears to prevent hearing problems or possible infections for your dog. You won’t hurt the dog as long as you stay toward the front of the ear and canal.
If your dog has floppy ears, they may be more prone to dirty ears, so be sure to clean them often!
