Sitters4Critters Does Not Like Your Doggie Door
Sitters4Critters Does Not Like Your Doggie Door: Having a doggie door so your pup can run in and out of the house freely is great when you’re home to supervise. Leaving the dog door unlocked when you’re out, however, is never a good idea. At Sitters for Critters, your pets’ safety is our number one priority. Leaving that doggie door open can lead to a variety of puppy destructive surprises:
Sitters4Critters Does Not Like Your Doggie Door
- Unwanted entries by people (yikes) and wild animals. Take it from someone who had a raccoon climb through the dog door into the master bedroom (definitely not recommended)
- Unwanted exits. Your new kitten might not know how to operate the dog door now, but she might learn while you’re out!
- Predators can strike in the blink of an eye. Small dogs are especially susceptible to becoming prey for coyotes and even large birds. Always keep watch of your pup so you can save the day if need be.
- Higher air conditioning/heating bills. Leaving the door open reduces your house’s insulation, which makes temperature control more expensive.
If you are planning on being away, let Sitters for Critters give your peace of mind, for your pets and your house. We will visit your pets at least twice a day, providing attention, food, medicine (if necessary), walks, and playtime. Your information is always kept confidential, including your whereabouts, when you’re leaving, and when you’re coming back. Enjoy your vacation and let us take care of the rest!
